Modem Support Window
Clicking the Advanced button in the Modem Configuration window will
display the Modem Support window. Refer to your modem instruction and
owner’s manual when programming advanced modem options.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Incorrect modem strings may result in communi-
cations failures. Ensure that you understand the modem options as
described in your modem’s instruction manual before using custom
strings.

The Initialization string is used to configure the modem so that the modem will
be able to accept communications commands from the downloading software.

The Reset 1 string is used at the end of a DLS-2 session to reset the modem
to its default settings.

The Hang-Up string is sent to the modem whenever communications are

The Escape string is used to reset the modem without disconnecting the
current telephone connection.

Select this option if the modem being used features a baud rate greater than
